Local bishop here is gaming the system, spun churches off as separate operations to avoid crashing due to the crushing abuse claim payouts, and is filing the diocese as bankrupt to try to get out from under as more and more claims came in prior to an April deadline. Right-winger bishop, he came in harsh, hassling the good priests that were left, a total jerk. All they did over the years was shuffle the abusers that were caught off to other areas, even the Hannah Boy's Center in Sonoma has a long list of the abused, long time covered up...Sickening, all their tax freedoms should be taken away.. And it's not just the catholic churches, friends kids had incidents at other so called christian churches, same sort of abuses, rarely if ever prosecuted... Likely the same stories all across the country, hiding, shuffling, the last priest we knew, trusted passed away a couple years back, no further connection, and even that was minimal as we knew of the incidents from way back... Sickening...
