Hmmm ... may I suggest that "time" is simply a medium through which we of extremely limited knowledge and intellect attempt to understand our existence here on this earth. God is not limited by "time" in any way, shape, or form ... He is outside of "time." But, just because "time" is a tenuous construct definitely does not mean that there is no future, no afterlife with God outside of "time" when the concept of "time" is no longer of use to mankind.

Just my two cents.

Re: “Time may be an illusion”
Thanks! The article isn't thorough enough for me to say whether the science is either compatible or incompatible with my thinking, but it's nice to not be the only one wondering about this very weird thing called "time." As I said in September, "I am leaning strongly toward the opinion that TIME is not real - or, at least, that it is not what we think."

My suspicion is that time is a function of consciousness and that this notion that we are moving through it is false. The past is not behind us. The future is not ahead. The present is the same as the other two. The sensation of time is hallucination. There is no afterlife because there is no future. Time is imaginary.

That about sums it up.
