Just weeks after its launch, the pro-Trump social network GETTR is inundated with terrorist propaganda spread by supporters of Islamic State, according to a POLITICO review of online activity on the fledgling platform.
The social network — started a month ago by members of former President Donald Trump’s inner circle — features reams of jihadi-related material, including graphic videos of beheadings, viral memes that promote violence against the West and even memes of a militant executing Trump in an orange jumpsuit similar to those used in Guantanamo Bay.

Trump pressed top Justice Department officials in a late December phone call to declare the election he lost “corrupt,” and “leave the rest” to him and Republican allies in Congress, according to contemporaneous, handwritten notes taken by officials on the call.
Trump pressured top Justice Department officials on a Dec. 27 phone call with then-Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen and his second-in-command, Richard Donoghue, part of an effort to reverse Joe Biden's win.
Donoghue memorialized the conversation in the handwritten notes, which the House Oversight Committee made public on Friday. The committee is investigating Trump's efforts to push false claims about the election in a bid to overturn the results and remain in office.
In response to Rosen saying the Justice Department "can't" and "won't snap its fingers" to change the outcome of an election, Trump is quoted in the notes as saying: "Don’t expect you to do that, just say that the election was corrupt" and "leave the rest to me and the R. Congressmen."

Attorney General Merrick Garland urged Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to reverse his day-old executive order that aims to restrict migration at the border following a rise in Covid-19 cases.
The attorney general called Abbott’s order “both dangerous and unlawful” in a Thursday letter to the governor. “The Order violates federal law in numerous respects, and Texas cannot lawfully enforce the Executive Order against any federal official or private parties working with the United States,” Garland wrote.
Military members will be subject to the same Covid-19 vaccination rules that President Biden outlined for civilian federal workers, the Pentagon said.

Mr. Biden said Thursday that federal workers who remained unvaccinated would have to submit to testing as often as twice a week, be restricted from traveling, and be required to wear masks and remain socially distant.
His announcement included only civilian employees, but hours later the Pentagon said members of the military would also be subject to the same vaccination rules.
