A few months ago I was looking for a pair of black Nike Air Monarch shoes. I had a white pair but wanted a black pair as well for those times when I wanted to go 'formal' while still wearing comfortable shoes. I was not able to find what I wanted at any local shoe stores. I had found black Nike Air Monarchs in 'Wide' width but not regular (I have long narrow feet, size 13 B, which I inherited from my mother, who wore size 14 AAAAA shoes). So I went online and I found this company named 'Quartermaster' ( http://www.qmuniforms.com/ ) that focused on stuff for security guards, EMT members, police officers, etc. Now they don't sell guns or stuff like that, but mostly clothing, like uniform jackets, vests, belts, accessories, boots and of course, shoes including Nike's. Anyway, they had the exact shoe, in the size I wanted, and so I ordered them and they came and I was totally happy with them.
However, it seems that by me ordering from this website that they've 'sold' my email address to a group of far-right survivalist types and have since been getting weird adverts for all kinds of stuff, including from people who are very supportive of Donald Trump as well as being vehemently opposed to people like Obama and Hillary, to the point of tin-foil hat type conspiracy theory type emails. I keep 'unsubscribing' when I get these emails, but they continue to come.
What this showed me is that there are companies out there who seem to be fully legitimate but who are part of some really far-right fringe, and making a single purchase for something as simple as a pair of athletic shoes, can result in your name getting into the hands of some really dark people who are convinced that liberalism is just another name for communism and that only people like Donald Trump can save the America that our WHITE Founding Fathers created (of course Trump's Russian problem is never mentioned).
Anyway, I'm just warning you that there are companies doing business on the web that have a very dark side to them.
