It's Not Our Fault! 100-Plus Reasons Hillary Lost
By Brad
WendyMcElroy.com
Brad here. When I first posted this list on November 20, it had 15 or 20 reasons that I had culled from a few news articles. Since then, thanks (much!) to many contributions, I’ve seen and listed over a hundred excuses for the Clinton loss.
Mind you, these are only those excuses which don’t blame the candidate herself or the conduct of her campaign. (Except perhaps “climate change,” which was arguably a campaign failing, but an excuse I couldn’t resist including.) If you were to include all of those blunders, the list might reach a thousand.
So, as an end-of-year wrapup, here is the updated list: as of 31 December 2016, 110 not-her-fault reasons. Why, sometimes it seems like the entire world conspired to keep her from her self-perceived destiny. 1 Jun 2017 update: 132 reasons.
Brad here. Since the Trump victory, Democrats have been in a lather trying to explain it. To be precise, they’ve been looking for any possible explanation other than (a) the Hillary campaign was incompetent, or (b) Hillary was a lousy — corrupt, dishonest, evasive, avaricious, grafting, entitled, arrogant, warmongering — candidate.
No, in the eyes of Democrats, both their candidate and her campaign were flawless, so it must have been something else that cost her the election. Just Google “7 reasons Trump won” (or 5 reasons, or 13 reasons, or 24 reasons, etc.) and you’ll find an assortment of compendiums that would make the most hardened conspiracy theorist shake his head in disbelief. The problem is, no two compendiums are alike. So, as a public service, I have begun the master index of alternative theories about why Clinton lost the election. These are just the theories I’ve encounted in casual reading; I’ll add more as I read more. Feel free to send contributions.

That’s more than the 66 excuses offered for the “pause” in global warming. http://hockeyschtick.blogspot.ca/2014/11/updated-list-of-64-excuses-for-18-26.html I’m glad to see that climate change, in a roundabout way, finally made this list.
Not yet blamed: the weather, UFOs, the CIA, Mossad, or the Mafia.
P.S. A tip of the hat to Dan Joppich at American Thinker, who sees the parallel between Hillary and Jake Blues of the Blues Brothers:
Honest… I ran out of gas. I… I had a flat tire. I didn’t have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn’t come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts! IT WASN’T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD!
