Poll: 71 percent say Trump's tweets are hurting his agenda
The poll was conducted Sunday through Tuesday, before Trump tweeted Thursday attacking the hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski.
According to the poll, 87 percent of Democrats and 75 percent of independents believe Trump’s tweets are hurting his agenda, while 53 percent of Republicans agreed.
The poll also asked participants if they considered Trump's tweets to be official statements from the president, with answers splitting along partisan lines.
Nearly 60 percent of Democrats said Trump's tweets should be considered official statements, while 52 percent of Republicans said they shouldn't be considered official.
