North Korea’s Military Showing Aggression in ‘unprecedented’ Way

According to The Hill, the U.S. military has spotted “highly unusual and unprecedented levels” of North Korean submarine activity. This is the latest round of military posturing between the United States as tensions around the Korean peninsula continue to rise.
A defense official told CNN on Monday that North Korea conducted an “ejection test” from a submarine that involves a “cold-launch system” of a missile. That system uses “high pressure steam to propel a missile out of the launch canister.”
This report comes after another intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) state from North Korea. In that test, which was the second in less than a month, has raised concern that North Korea could strike the U.S. mainland with a nuclear missile. Los Angeles, Denver and Chicago are all within the striking range of a North Korean ICBM, military officials say.
Should North Korea fire an ICBM at the U.S., experts believe that it could strike anywhere on the United States West Coast. On Monday, President Trump expressed his assurance that the U.S. would deal with North Korea.
“We’ll handle North Korea. We’ll be able to handle North Korea. It will be handled. We handle everything,” said Trump to reporters during a Cabinet meeting at the White House.
CNN also reported that the U.S. detected a North Korean Sang-O submarine in operation in the Yellow Sea, the length of its deployment notable. In addition, two Romeo submarines were detected off Japan and had been operating in that area for about a week.
Pleas pray for our troops in the region. Read about a senator’s response to questions over what President Trump would do to North Korea if the escalation continued.
