It's part of the barn, but in a sense it's part of the house. For instance, although the house will still need an attached garage (I'm pretty sure my wife will insist on staying dry while bringing in the groceries), it will likely be for one car, not two or three. The house won't need a well since one will be dug for the barn. Same for septic - the barn's septic tank will be shared with the house. The house shouldn't have much clutter either since the barn has a ton of storage.

Best of all, whenever my wife gets moody, I've got a cheap place to stay until she forgets about it and lets me back in! I figure the barn will pay for itself in no time.
