Why is that?

I've been on Simvastatin (which is what I assume you meant) for about a month. I had been on Lipitor (which is Pfizer's statin drug) for several years and started having shoulder pain and tinnitus. I thought Lipitor might be responsible so I stopped it and the problems greatly improved.

I told my cardiologist (who I'm supposed to see at least once a year but don't) that I'd quit and he promptly put me onto Simvastatin. I've got a defective heart valve that he says makes me particularly vulnerable to cholesterol buildup. Sooo, I'm trying it. So far, so good.

What was your experience?
