I sat out back, under an overhang from the deck above so I couldn't see the sun, but could observe the sights and sounds on the ground. We were only supposed to get a 71% eclipse.
Before hand, it was sunny with distinct shadows from the trees on the grass. There was some minor bird chirps. There were some high clouds, but the sun was out and bright. When we hit max, it was still light and the shadows looked the same on the grass, but the sky looked a little darker, a kind of dingy looking discoloring, to the north of the Sun and brighter to the south. I was struggling to figure if it was my imagination or not. But it did get brighter a couple of minutes after max, so I think it was the eclipse. No chirping . . .
I had Fox on and Shep said dolphins were observed coming to the surface and watching it. Sad joke, lol.
