Sire

Home owners insurance should always be had on a home. FLOOD INSURANCE though is a totally different animal and home insurance do not provide that. They must get that from the GUBMINT flood insurance.....

At least that is what my understanding is.....

I do not have flood insurance as I live nowhere near any streams, creeks, low lying places, and am extremely unlikely to ever need to worry about flood waters getting into my house....

On the other hand, if I lived anywhere near a coast line, I would not be without it......

You bring up a very good point.....

...a question about these uninsured home owners. Are the homes paid for? Providing insurance for a home is usually part and parcel of a home loan.
