Interesting stats. And also showing over-population as the dems (rinos included) brought in millions more. Oh King, perhaps the Feds, paying $500K of our tax money per sq. mile repeatedly, ought to relocate people out of there permanently, starting with the lowest areas?

We're having an anomaly this summer. I just got my electric bill for August and it was 5 degrees cooler this August than last. This is the coolest August I remember. Now it looks like Fall is coming early.

Today, it's 59 degrees and raining. The temp went down during the day. Over decades, the temps had been going up and it seemed like Summer was shifting into October, with 90 degree days and often a close to hundred-degree heat waves. Now it may be reversing. One season is hard to call, but I don't ever remember having a day in the 50's in August. Meanwhile, the Brits have been worried about an ice age coming. Go figure.

...could it be that the folks are actually renters and not homeowners and that they don't have renters insurance? That is what the situation was in New Orleans or so I heard.

Why does Houston flood so frequently?

Nationally, repeat federal flood relief payouts averaged about $3,000 per square mile. But in greater Houston, the payouts were nearly a whopping $500,000 per square mile.

....Houston is not a virgin when it comes to floods. This article provides some of the reasons for it. Most of them can be traced back to local government (city/county)
