Years ago, a local radio announcer in Big Spring, Texas was relieved of his position for stating:

"The roads in this town look like they were laid out by a drunken Mexican riding backwards on a mule."

Still brings a mental image clealy in focus - and chuckles.

The article says this in one place:
"CNN's cultural supremacists are constantly smearing Christians and conservatives and southerners as backwards bigots."

Since you and professor MT are fine upstanding Texans,
I just wanted to let you all know that as a northerner, a damned yankee at that, that I have never esteemeed southerners, especially Texans, to being BIGOTED,

Backwards, yes. Bigoted, no.....

Just wanted to clear up that article. Southerners from Texas definitely are not bigoted....
