I made that mistake, too. Bought a so-called silver coin for a couple of bucks that had a huge list price and was actually silver plated and heavy. No great loss, as you say, but aggravating.
TopHatter is definitely addictive. I stopped after three purchases last night. I shouldn't have bought the coins. I thought I was buying SILVER. Why would anyone want copper? Are they even actual coins, or just medallions? With 90 seconds or less, there's no time to do research. In any event, I didn't pay much for them.
One of the funnier things about TopHatter is the absurd "retail" prices it lists. The coins supposedly retail for $500. And the drone, which retailed for $499 last night, is retailing for $1,599 today.
