re: "during the Obama administration. Seems like everyone was just standing around whining about some 'unfairness' or another and holding their hand out for their next govt bailout."

When I was in college, I was taking a class for graduating seniors called "Organizational Behavior." On Day One, the professor put everyone into groups and gave them a chance to assign extra points amounting to a full letter grade to ONE member of their group. But it had to be unanimous or nobody in the group would get the points at all.

The class wasn't graded on a curve. If some people got high grades this way, they wouldn't be lowering others' chances of getting high grades too.

Every group took the professor up on his offer . . . except for mine. My group was blessed with a liberal girl who declared that if SHE couldn't get the points, she didn't want anyone else to get them either. This about drove me batty. I said, "But we're going to draw a name out of a hat! You have as much of a chance of getting the points as anyone!"

Nope. She wouldn't do it. She considered herself unlucky and just knew one of us would get the points instead of her. She said, at one point, that the only way she would change her mind was if we agreed to give the points to her.

Ha. That's something *I* wouldn't do. In fact, I said, "No, but I'll give up my chance at points and we can just give them to Lew. Better for SOMEBODY to get the points than nobody. Would you agree to that?" She wouldn't, of course.

That's how some liberals are. They know that they'll never experience prosperity. But, almost as good in their minds, is for others to not experience it either.

Isn't that pathetic?

At the end of the semester, everyone was tasked with recommending grades for the other members of their group. As with the free points at the start of the semester, this played a role in everyone's grades. At least one of the others from my group joined me in giving our favorite young liberal a grade that was LOWER than she would have otherwise received. Ain't karma a bitch?

Folks love Obama because he brought more people - particularly more of the hated white people - into poverty. He was a champion of the impoverished who specialized in growing his base. For the Left, that's considered a win.

...sometimes things happen that make ya particularly proud to be an American and we have not had a lot of those during the Obama administration. Seems like everyone was just standing around whining about some 'unfairness' or another and holding their hand out for their next govt bailout. Cops weren't just occaisionally wrong, they were always wrong. Thugs and gangsta's were always right. People who clung to their bibles and their guns were ridiculed and for the first time in her life Michelle Obama was proud of her country. Well, I can tell ya that for the first time since Obama took office, I am proud of mine.
