...ya gotta build up to 'long term survival'. Most folks don't have the cash to go down and spend $50,000 or so on it. If ya buy a little every payday ya will accumulate a sizable amount, hopefully in time. Ya don't want to spend so much that ya can't survive UNLESS there is a disaster.

I think there's a chance folks need to prepare for something bigger than that. How well would a 90 day food supply have worked for the people of Venezuela? They've been starving for the last several years.

At least you don't live in a city. Depending on when a disaster hits, you might be able to grow a garden and stretch that food supply for more than 90 days.

IMO, everyone should have several years of food. But I understand if you don't. I don't either. But I *will*.

BTW, ten days? Really? You should be able to fast for THAT long!
