This cycle of uplift and subsidence is common and seems tied to earthquake swarms; that is, swarms appear to release the pressure that caused the initial uplift, thus allowing the region to return to a period of subsidence.

...yeah, and then I break wind hard enough to blow the blanket off the bed.

I took a peak at the 30 day map over of quakes over 2.5. There's a LOT more in Oklahoma, where they're busily cracking the crust of the earth to create a new continent.

That said, drag the map down. I wonder what in the world is going on in Puerto Rico. Fracking?
