I was out of town most of the day at my wife's sister's place. Had good time in a small town in rural Ohio for Labor day festivities.
Cedarville, Ohio is the HOME of where Labor Day began.
A fairly large Christian University is there also and has been growing for a long time from its humble beginnings.
Had some great Carolina BBQ there for dinner and a big old waffle cone full of home made slated Carmel and pretzel ice cream that was made in a French churn process. It was TOO much but I managed to eat it all to my wife's horror and later my stomach's rebellion.
ANYWAY,
Georgia DAWGS looked good for their opener.
Longhorns had their horns shaved. Now they are the short horns. Stank up the place.
Florida State could have done better but give Bama's front defensive linemen and backers their due. They were responsible for stifling the Florida State offense. A better O line from ANY other good team will be key to beating Alabama. They are good. Real good.
It does not help when playing someone like Michigan that you have eleven of your players sitting out under suspension. I hope they learned a lesson. It came at a cost of losing to a Michigan team they could have beaten.
I think when the players get back to playing football and following rules that team will be very good.
They should have beaten Michigan, and they also are a good team.
I haven't much use for top tier schools playing teams that are ranked number 100 pr less in college football. Several schools did this and then ran up scores against far inferior athletes. Wow are they good. Not.....
Most impressive win to me was LSU versus UCLA.
LSU DOMINATED the game. Old ED Orgeron I believe has a great team who believe in him and themselves and it showed.
That's my recap as I saw it and look forward to today's game with Texas A & M.
