Professor,

YESSIREEEEEE!!!!

I didn't want to go into all that. I figured Nemo likely knew that already.

He could always get another engine for that thing from a salvage yard or maybe buy a long block remanned one...

Body looks good as did the inside....

I am not a fan of Ford Motor company in general because I owned two in my life and both were nothing but PITAS mechanically.. When the second one acted up I got rid of it and never will look at another one.

I started buying Japanese cars. My mechanical issues all disappeared....

Now I own a Sonata Sport with every available option.

JD POWER rated it the 7th best vehicle made in 2015 under 50 grand.... That's pretty good considering I paid nothing near that or even 30 grand.

I am the proverbial value hunter in cars and don't care I choose not to replace parts on a BMW, Acura, Audi, Infiniti or Lexus, though I can easily pay cash for any or all of them.

My frugality and mathematical logic system refuses to let me watch something I paid a lot for depreciate down to zero and in the end, that is what they all do....

I wish NEMO well with this latest vehicle. Replace the engine and maybe even look at the suspension systems (STRUTS) , give it some lipstick and sell it for a whole lot of profit!

Capitialism at its finest!

Get'em Captain!!!

Good Point on the warped head, Micro - and that one can be sneaky, because warped heads cause blown head gaskets. Simply replacing the gasket doesn't get the job done - although one thinks it might. It might hold for a while (for the unscrupulous, not Nemo) but will give out again fairly quickly (a few thousand miles at most).

Unfortunately - overheating an engine badly enough to warp a head is almost always going to cause much more damage than just the head - rings, bearings, cylinder walls take a big whack also - even the water pump takes a shellacing. Water in the oil also causes extennsive damage- especially the anti-corrosives in the water .... and the antifreeze.
