Hmmm - we no longer own land in this country - unless you live in an area that has no property tax - we rent it from the gubmint, after paying a big down-payment (call it an escrow fund that is seized when taxes aren't paid.)

What happens in hyper-inflation ? Land prices (valuations) go thru the ceiling.

What happens to the property taxes ? Ditto.

Still think land is a protection against the economic collapse ?

I don't.
