I'm finding for myself that high and increasing interest rates are what's clobbering me. The only inflationary item that is impacting me is food. Gas has come down a lot, but doesn't compensate. I have also reduced my meetings a lot, just going to those I deem most important.
Another Obama first, no SS cola. And the fortune 100 company I worked for has no cola forever on our pensions, which they call an annuity.

I don't think it is 'usury' or 'variable rates'.
I suspect it is a combination of inflation stealing
money out of folks standard of living, no raises,
and too many folks not taught to live within their means.
