>> Canada now takes liberal virtue-signaling to exponential levels of moonbattery and demands control of the U.S. legislative process. ... demanding the U.S. pass "a federal law stopping state governments from enacting right-to-work legislation."
Well, agreed- but the 'virtue signaling' is merely a smoke screen. If it were non-hypocritical virtue signaling, the same demand from Canada would also be made of the Mexican government - at both the Mexican federal and state levels.
It isn't.
Why ?
Simple - because this is NOT really about 'virtue signaling' - it is about MONEY.
Those states with right-to-work laws have lower labor costs that make their products more competitive in CANADA than Canadian firms. Very little 'lip service' is paid to condemning Mexico's lack of unions, because far fewer Mexican items reach Canada than American items, that is why they don't care about Mexico's cheap labor.
As in all frauds, such as NAFTA, follow the money.
