And when the Republican controlled Congress fails to address this issue, Trump will be able to say that it wasn't his fault, eh? The far-right Republicans in Congress are already saying that they have NO intentions whatsoever to do anything that will allow a single DACA person to stay in the US.
And Sessions did nothing but lie during his announcement. He first called DACA as an illegal amnesty, which it is not. He also sited crime statistics which data has shown that DACA recipients are more law-abiding than similar American-born individuals. He also stated that DACA people are a drag on Social Security, which is absolutely false. In fact, if a DACA recipient never becomes a citizen or even a legal resident, they will never be able to draw a single cent of the Social Security benefits for which they've paid into their entire life.
Trump is just trying to have "Have his cake and eat it as well", by fulfilling one of his campaign promises while setting up someone else, Congress, to take the heat when nothing is solved.
