re: "DO we really have the right to tell other countries what they can and cannot do??"

Unless you believe that might makes right, of course not.

Don't tell a liberal that. Liberals think that humanitarian issues justify . . . no, DEMAND . . . the involvement of the so-called civilized world. Too bad there's no end to humanitarian issues.

The bigger problem is that Liberals never see the adverse long-term consequences of their bleeding-heart policies. Right-wingers too, I suppose. Nixon, for instance, thought it was wise to release trade barriers against one of our biggest enemies, China. Doing so gave us 40 years of low prices on almost everything. Unfortunately, the real cost was to our manufacturing advantage, our technological lead, our knowledge base, our employment levels and salaries, our strong currency, our military superiority, our debt.

We're now in no position to challenge China on anything. Without firing a shot, China can retaliate by flooding the world with dollars or by refusing to sell to us at all (which would wipe out all of our retailers practically overnight.)

What an ugly situation. Our leaders just don't think.

Here is the real issue and question and no, I do not agree with the scenarios presented by that author.

To me, the real question is this: WHO and WHY did certain countries set themselves up to determine WHO in this world can have nuclear weapons and who is not allowed to have them??

DO we really have the right to tell other countries what they can and cannot do??

Does any other country have the right to tell the U.S. the same?

Just some critical thinking and this is just the beginning. Be back later..
