Thanks for the browser review, micro. Talk about a blast from the past. I used to use Opera... probably ten years ago. I don't remember why I stopped - except I think Firefox came along and received rave reviews.

Now I'm in an office with locked-down desktops that only allow for Chrome and IE. At home I use Firefox. I don't know if I'm willing to learn a FOURTH browser at this time. Maybe in a few months when I'm not forced to use IE and Chrome anymore...

OPERA

Rated behind Google's CHROME browser yet ahead of Firefox,

I can tell you so far today that it is quicker than Firefox and I think controls are as good if not better.

One thing this browser allows me to do, which is why I decided to look at a different browser, is that I click on a live link from my email (outlook 2007) and the ewb page opens in my new browser. It also opened using Internet Explorer (wife cannot adapt to anything new), but absolutely would not do so with Firefox and I tried every fix there was.

SO, I searched for the best rated browsers, this was number 2, and it works very well and it imported all my bookmarked pages from Firefox.

I am a happy camper and so far loving OPERA web browser.

You have to go into settings and do some adjusting from what they consider standard because I do not like ANYTHING on my homepage. Got rid of that crap and all is well.

Security settings are very good with Opera as well.

Worth looking at in case you ever want a new and better browser.

I would not use CHROME because I do not trust GOOGLE any farther than I can see them, and even then I do not trust them. They steal everything.

At least I feel I have SOME privacy with Opera.... and security..

It's a good feeling...
