For anyone interested, my brother and mother left Miami early this morning and just texted that they were having lunch in Tallahassee (about 500 miles north). They are heading to his house in Alabama and will go farther north or west if they feel threatened.
My mother lives in Miami - alone. I was going to fly there to drive her out, but my brother in Alabama said he would drive down. He is there tonight and they will be leaving in the morning. I just hope he has enough gas.
