Yeah, but we didn't sit that one out, ribit.

I had an acquaintance who was a Captain in the British SAS (a true bunch of very dangerous bad asses!) and he fought in the Falkland Islands War. He told me in no uncertain terms that the American military was helping the Brits extensively with logistics, and he even implied that a few Americans (special forces) found their way onto the islands, as well.

But, this really isn't a big surprise ... it was 1982 ... Maggie Thatcher was the Prime Minister ... and Ronald Reagan was POTUS ... and it was a time when we actually stood by our friends.

...it would be like that falklands war between the brits and argentina. We would sit it out.
