DE - Agree - that's the way it looks ... however ...

I've got the sneaking suspicion that there are millions more like me that seriously question (and will fight it) the wisdom of turning more and more of our compute power over to the Mega-Corps. That was the entire impetus of the personal computer revolution in the first place - cheaper, and individual control, not at the mercy of the big daddy warbucks oligopolies ... not to even mention the 'gubmint'. The abuses by the corpo-gubmint diablo are becoming more obvious every single day. Wikileaks may awaken the sleeping giants known as individuals.

And, then a-gin, mebe not.

It doesn't matter. Oracle is going to provide support through 2022. More importantly, everything is moving to the cloud. Except for cloud service providers and [for now] home users, operating systems may as well be a thing of the past.

In a nutshell, "system administrator" is now a very, very poor career path to be on.
