There's an opportunity here that is not apparent unless you click the link in the article to see if your name was hacked.

At that link, it tells you if you were impacted. If you were, it gives you the option to enroll in Trusted Id Premier.

Trusted Id Premier gives you "complimentary identity theft protection and credit file monitoring services."

You can join or not. They ask you for your name and the last 6 digits of your SSN. It comes back with an enrollment date, if you're eligible. On that date, you go back to the site to complete enrollment.

The lawsuit's a whole other matter!
