My brother, along with the rest of Miami and Fort Lauderdale, is breathing a sigh of relief as he is no longer in the 'cone zone.'
Irma's winds are down to 125mph, but they will probably whip up a bit in the coming 24 hours.
My brother says it IS getting breezy.
I'm a little worried since it appears to be zeroed in on my little piece of heaven in Cape Coral, FL. Granted, said piece of heaven is little more than a bare patch of earth covered by sand and seashells, but I sorta like some of those shells...
I don't have access to Google Earth right now, but when I do I'm going to see if I can get some shots of what the street looks like. I know that most of the parcels still lack houses. It might be interesting to see how many of the existing homes are still there after Irma - which will, I think, probably be a category 4 when it reaches Cape Coral.
