Well, I did see a TV reporter interview a man after he completely lost his 2-3-4-whatever-million-dollar house to a mud slide in Malibu a few years ago. This guy was bitching up a storm to the reporter about not having insurance to cover his loss. In essence, his complaint was this:
"The first two times we lost the house to mud slides, we had private insurance that completely replaced the house. After the second replacement, no further private insurance policies were available - the private insurance companies would no longer write a policy at any price. So, the federal government stepped in and offered insurance. This insurance from the federal government completely replaced the house the next three times we lost the house to mud slides, but then we were told that the federal government would no longer write a policy at any price. Now, I've lost my house FOR A SIXTH TIME and I don't have any insurance to cover my loss. Woe is me! I have been unfairly treated by the nasty, mean, money-grubbing insurance industry!"
No, sir ... you are the BRAIN-DEAD MORON who bought a multi-million-dollar-house on the side of a steep hill in Malibu known to experience devastating mud slides, rebuilt that house FIVE times due to mud slides, and now are bitching because you will have to rebuild it a SIXTH time with your own money. Mother Nature has been sending you a crystal clear message that is obvious to everyone but complete and utter idiots such as yourself - DON'T BUILD A HOUSE ON A STEEP HILLSIDE IN MALIBU THAT IS DEMONSTRABLY PRONE TO EXPERIENCING MUD SLIDES! The private insurance companies figured it out after two rebuilds. Even the brainless twits in the federal government figured it out after three rebuilds. But, you are still blaming everyone else other than your stupid self when faced with your SIXTH rebuild???!!! IDIOT.
