THAT should be the FIRST THING ANYONE thinks about....
I did.
Second thing they should do before starting to plant a bunch of shrubs, trees, etc. is to do a LAYOUT of your house and yard and make sure you allow plenty of space for trees branches to grow. In other words, not too close to the house as they will grow over and into it.
PLANNING is the most essential thing ANYONE should do.
WHY DO YOU PREP?????
WHY did you BUY that land in New Hampshire?
PLANNING for a personal belief.......
WHY on TOP of the property instead if AT the BOTTOM??

PEOPLE should carefully THINK of WHERE they are locating, what are the things that could go wrong, especially if you choose an area that is KNOWN to have HURRICANES, FLOODING, TROPICAL STORMS AND DEPRESSIONS, NOREASTERS, etc.
Places that have a HISTORY if bad things that happen and is LIKELY to recur.....
It really is that simple... PLAN AHEAD before just doing and NOT THINKING......
