Well, Professor ... not to put words in God's mouth, which is something I do NOT want to be guilty of doing ... I believe God wants us to use the sense he gave us to prepare for possible, undesirable contingencies ... for us and for those around us. What He does not want us to do, IMHO, is to get comfortable in relying on our own preparations that we foolishly start to believe that we do not have to rely on Him.
