Nothing wrong with posting about it, imho. I think both you and micro are getting a bit thin skinned over this one. It's friendly banter.
I would say not everyone has the resources to prepare for what might happen economically. With close to 80% operating from paycheck to mouth, there's nary a dime left over to save. That's a huge and shocking percentage of the population.
I would say, too, that in our experience, the infamous 'they' have always managed to avoid a total washout, whether through printing money or whatever. Maybe not so now that the Left seeks a total washout to implement their fascist dream. I think their gig's up, though. Even the Depression was livable. So it's hard to pin down what we're actually protecting ourselves against. Then there's always the fact that people warned about the Depression coming and few believed them, presuming the system couldn't fail. Yet, the '87 crash was caused by Bill Clinton easing certain regulations. So, we're vulnerable to opportunists. Shows why watchdog groups are so important.
