As I said once before, nobody understands why, but New Yorkers *loooooove* Barry and the sow. If she'd run for mayor, do you have any doubt that she could win? I don't. She was handed a Senate seat in New York, for cryin' out loud.
What's in it for NYC? Something corrupt, I'm sure.
This is one of the things I hate about cities. Maybe not everyone who lives there is a slimeball, but enough of them are.
I don't mean to just pick in New York. It's urbanites in general. Where I am now is far too urban. and far too liberal. I don't know if liberals gravitate to cities or cities make people liberal, but the correlation is too strong to deny.
Here's a story from where I am shows why I detest cities:
I was in my office's lunchroom yesterday. CNN was on, and it cut to a video of a crowd that was actively tearing a store apart in Florida (Everyone in the crowd was black, of course. When's the last time you saw a crowd of whites looting, burning or rioting?)
A woman was in the room with me. I said, "Just look at that. It's so sad."
"It is," she said. "But I understand it."
WTH? If I understand *her*, she's saying that she relates to looting! How pathetic. And this woman has a job - she's not needy in the least. But she relates to and, seemingly, sympathizes with the looters, not the property owners.
I wanted to shake her and ask her if she'd lost her mind. Instead, I just left the room.
