Works the same way on Win 10 Pro, which was a free upgrade and works the best of any version of Windows I've had yet (there can be some issues, but I was lucky).
Have to say, each time MSFT comes out with a new product, my software mysteriously has a ton of problems. I believe they introduce bugs to force you to migrate. But you seem to be an exception, micro, how'd ya do it?
I run windows7 pro x 64 bit and Windows does not automatically update anything. You can turn off auto updates through the control panel and choose to alow updates to be downloaded and ready but require you to select what you want, when you want... In my case, unless it is a critical update, I generally do not download it...
