Update: AAA gives the best discounts for lots of stuff, in my experience. I have them to tow me or jump the car if needed and my car is old in the tooth. If you are inclined to pay for id protection, and I'm most concerned about someone withdrawing money from my meager savings account, it may be cheaper overall to get an AAA membership and free id protection from them. Just saying. DD!
Email from AAA NorthEast below. Do have to say, using one of these firms is giving access to all your info to yet another firm. Disclaimer: DD required, I am clueless on this stuff and can't make a recommendation.
Don't know if this link will work without logging onto your account, but here it is:

They offer basic free service (with $10K fraud protection) and Deluxe option, which includes $1 million in fraud insurance. Other differences described at link. AAA uses Experian for this service.

Equifax Inc. recently disclosed that it experienced a cybersecurity incident potentially impacting the personal information of approximately 143 million U.S. consumers.
AAA does not use Equifax, nor has it experienced a data breach. However, the magnitude of this highly publicized incident demonstrates how important it is for everyone to have a personal identity theft monitoring solution in place.
Your AAA membership includes an Identity Theft Monitoring solution backed by Experian® called ProtectMyID® Essential at no extra charge - but you need to enroll to take advantage of the protection.
AAA's ProtectMyID® Essential provides daily credit monitoring, email alerts and fraud resolution support.
