Back when I was wif da fone company they had a gal (a facilitaror they called her and she was splaining how that new solutions to old problems were invariably found by people with no experience in the field. I begged to differ with her and even offered to let her go out with me and I would give her a set of hooks for climbing poles and let her fix a couple of troubles to show me how not knowing what she was doing was going to be a big asset. She declined my offer but insisted she was right. I got to lookin around da fone cumpny and noticed how many managers we had who could not do the job they were supervising. Not only that, but they didn't have a clue as to what the job was. I think this gal with the music degree overseeing cyber security is just another attempt to prove that anyone with a degree in Lesbo, Gay, Bi-sexual, transgendered, homeless, Hispanic studies is qualified to do brain surgery. Not on me nor any of my friends or family but certainly in Hollywood.

Beldin:

I was sure I'd find that she had a long list of certifications (CIP, CISSP, etc) which would attest to her cyber security expertise yet require no formal degree, but no, I'm not finding anything. That's shocking. I've probably spoken to Susan Mauldin once or twice. I don't remember doing so, but it's pretty likely since I've hosted conference calls with Equifax and and used to draft the biannual security agreements that would let the two companies share information and otherwise collaborate.
