Hi Zim!

Well, my puter did that when I forst installed this operating system.

I don;t wait for it to shut down anymore. I simply turned off automatic updates. Now I turn it off when I want and I can select what updates I want to have installed and when I want to install them...

I like that better. It simply works for me. All other's mileage may vary....

I run Windows 7, 32 bit.
I don't think I did anything about windows updates . . .
Every now and again when I go to shut down it tells me
not to pull power to the computer as it is installing updates. (I power up, play on the internet, all done, shut down and it takes a while while it does
updates. Not very annoying.)

Windows 10, on the other hand . . .
I was right in the middle of typing something I felt was
important and 'it' decided it HAD to do an update and
it shut down my computer for me.

That behavior is why I have no intention of going
back to windows 10.

Zim.
