From the article:

>>>
Finally, Sanders took the opportunity to remind us all that, in his scientific opinion as an Ambassador, Hurricane Irma was the direct result of all of our contributions to global warming....
>>>

That line right there.
I would now refuse any assistance to them or him to rebuild.

Look.
They had a disaster. Ordinarily I would have no problem
in sending the Navy, Seabees, etc. etc. to provide
emergency manpower and expertise in getting water and
electrical systems back up and help start rebuilding.

But if 'they' are gonna insist it is, somehow, my fault
it happened . . . No. I am not responsible for the
hurricane. Hurricanes run through that area almost
every year. For centuries hurricanes and tropical
storms have inundated that part of the ocean.

Irma was not the fault of 'man made global warming'.

"The damage is complete. For the first time in 300 years, there’s not a single living person on the island of Barbuda — a civilization that has existed on that island for over 300 years has now been extinguished. The island and the people on the island had absolutely no chance."
