How did it happen that he became the orangutan's campaign manager?

I heard yesterday that the money he got from Russians he "laundered" in shell companies, through which he bought properties, and no one knew who owned them, etc.

Dirty as dirty comes, but also a possible traitor, along with Flynn, and who knows who else with them....
