Hmmm ... doesn't seem like a "hold my beer and watch this" moment ... to me, more like a "livin' in another reality" moment.
I saw a news segment, this morning, about our society's "opioid crisis." Ya know what ... besides car and beer commercials, what are the most prevalent commercials on television, these days, eh? Yep ... that's right ... prescription drug commercials. Hell, man ... THERE'S A PILL FOR EVERYTHING! Even if ya don't have a frickin clue what that acronym stands for ... don't worry ... we're handin' 'em out like CANDY!!! Seriously, it makes me wonder how many people I encounter, each day ... on the road, in the office, at the store ... who are hopped up or dumbed down by prescribed psychoactive drugs. Our society is quite simply over-medicated. It is way past time for a whole lotta people to quit poppin' pills, renew their faith in God, take responsibility for themselves, proactively take care of the day-to-day, mundane functions of life, and quit bitchin' about your lot in life - DO something about it.
Okay ... I'll calm down, now ... and go back to erecting that Christopher Columbus statue in my front yard.
