...it would also likely bring the Chinese into it. Maybe even the rooskies. Iffen I was king I would just announce that to balance the powers in that region that I was going to give S. Korea and Japan Nuclear Weapons. My biggest reason for doing this is that I believe in the future their defense would be up to them because they cannot depend on us to keep em safe from or retaliate on their behalf after a nuclear attack.
...a war with N. Korea would likely have to be fought with conventional weapons and boots on the ground. We already had one of those and it solved nothing.
