Though his father was also a governor of New York, the current governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, told MSNBC: "We believe in immigration in New York. We are a state of immigrants. I am an immigrant." If there were a narrator for this story, that person would now say "he is not actually." He was truthfully born in the same New York City borough as President Trump, in Queens. You'd need to go back to his grandparents to find a generation of immigrants in his family, as his father and mother were also born in the U.S. Frankly, by comparing himself to immigrants -- he who was born with a political silver spoon in his mouth -- Cuomo is not only speaking foolishly, but also is minimizing the actual struggles many immigrant families face.
Not to mention the fact that he didn't really answer the question. The question wasn't about immigrants at all. The question was what the mainland United States will do if the over 3 million U.S. citizens living in Puerto Rico decide to leave that territory and move here. Especially after a double dose of terrible hurricanes. They wouldn't be immigrants because they are already citizens; they could move here anytime they wish. So he not only lied, but he degraded these citizens as well.
AND YET ANOTHER GENIUS NEW YORKER.
