THAT is the direct fault of the NEA and other progressive unions and is controlled by the STATE you live in and then the crap trices down to local districts.
The teachers can only teach what they are allowed. Fortunately a science teacher like my daughter has pretty well no interference and she educates her students...

Kathy, I agree with all you said. It is
not all the teachers fault. In fact, the
teachers are doing what they are told to
do. Too many people in todays world do not
think that the Three 'R's are important.
Kids are taught how to follow the new rules,
not think for themselves. One thing that
really bugs me is that a college education
is a much lower level than a high school
education from the way back. And kids are
not taught how to think for themselves but
what they should think. AND much of the
problem does have to do with welfare. Kids
are no longer taught to take care of
themselves but to be supplied with their
needs by the government.
