It is interesting that science, for your daughter, is left untouched - while MATH is attacked.

The fact that MATH is interfered with fits with nicely with an off-the-beaten article I just consumed.

Perhaps that is why so many 'scientists' today are poor scientists. I had always considered science to be fundamentally based on logic- but logic is really only required to UNDERSTAND science. Science entails a lot of 'knowledge gathering' ...but putting that knowledge to the test requires vigorous validation founded on logic. Without the logic skills, which are essential to basic math (a lot less knowledge required, a lot more logic exercised), good science fails to exist.

So - ALL 'scientists' MUST be firmly rooted in Math. Many are not - they have concentrated their studies on knowledge accumulation only. A dangerous path, leading to so much poor science.

DG THAT is the direct fault of the NEA and other progressive unions and is controlled by the STATE you live in and then the crap trices down to local districts. The teachers can only teach what they are allowed. Fortunately a science teacher like my daughter has pretty well no interference and she educates her students... ENGLISH. MATH, CIVICS (government), ?? Not so good......
