re: "ADVANCED PLACEMENT. PRETTY COOL THAT SOME KIDS CAN START "COLLECTING" COLLEGE CREDITS WHILE STILL IN HIGH SCHOOL."
Yep. VERY cool. It's too bad that more kids aren't taking advantage of it.
THEY DID NOT HAVE THAT WHEN I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL. WISH THEY HAD. YOU CAN'T WORRY ABOUT OTHER KIDS. YOU HAVE FOCUSED ON YOUR OWN, AND IT HAS PAID OFF.
Think about this. You need 120 units to get a Bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia. When his first semester ends in December, Joey will be just 58 units away.
AT THE END OF HIS FIRST SEMESTER, NOT THE FULL YEAR?
OMG, AT THE END OF HIS FIRST YEAR, HE COULD CONCEIVABLY BE ONLY 40 UNITS AWAY. IS IT POSSIBLE JOEY COULD FINISH COLLEGE IN TWO YEARS? WOW....
While the pain of paying tuition makes me grimace, the fact that he'll be done in a relative blink of an eye puts a smile on my face - thanks to A.P. classes and a kid who busted his butt all through high school.
TUITION IS AN INVESTMENT IN OUR FUTURE - YOURS, MINE AND EVERYONE'S. A.P. CLASSES ARE A GIFT, WHICH YOUR SON TOOK ADVANTAGE OF. I KNOW HE MUST HAVE BUSTED HIS BUTT TO GET WHERE HE IS NOW, BUT WHAT A PLACE TO BE!
CONGRATS TO NOT ONLY HIM, BUT TO YOU AND MRS. DECOMPOSED, TOO.
If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.
