You're talking about two totally different things.

The alleged "19 trillion dollars" is NOT the deficit but rather the debt.

The story was about reducing the deficit, which is the annual shortfall in the budget.

Try to get your terms correct. It's important.

...obuttface had a 19 trillion dollar deficit before he left office. It will be a looooonnnnnnggggg time before people forget that.
