Didn't sound like a good fit, at all.
I liked micro's idea. A good mechanic is worth his weight. The best I ran into was in Virginia by Smith Mountain Lake in tobacco country. This guy fixed everything from lawn mowers to farm equipment. Basically anything that moved. Word spreads and everyone in the area used him. Just a thought, one idea. Could start with yourself and a friend or just hang a sign out and do it yourself for awhile.
