Yeah - it's been a long time - and things have definitely changed. Been a while since I've been out and about in God's Country. Even when I was in high school out there, the kids that drove in from the ranches and farms had their long guns in the racks - and they were pretty safe. Those days are probably gone forever.

Yeah, when I was a lot younger ... you remember, trots ... right after the wheel was invented ... there was a gun rack in the back window of EVERY pickup ... often with more than one long gun in it. Hell, I even remember comin' up on this one pickup with a Thompson layin' in his window rack! I WAS VERY IMPRESSED - AND JEALOUS!!! But, nowadays ... even outside of the cities ... it's gettin' to be downright foolish to put on a display like that. Next time you come out to get in your truck, your long guns will be done gone and all you'll have to show for it is a broken window.
